As Deputy Chairman of the party, I will represent the interests and concerns of all of our branches throughout the country. Once elected the Deputy Chairman of the PLP, there are several programs I that will implement in consultation with the branches and approval of the Chairman and party Senior Leaders.

Proposed Programs:

PYL & Stalwart Success: 

We must build a bridge between our honored and experienced Stalwarts and our treasured and innovative PYL, through an organized mentorship and apprenticeship program.  I have designed the framework for such a program to leverage the talent and expertise of both groups in order to facilitate learning, information sharing and innovative strategies from these talent pools.

Successful Fundraising:

Our party must have a cohesive, centralized and inclusive fundraising agenda which is an essential component in ensuring our party remains relevant and positioned to regain the government in 2022.  My plan is to develop and implement a Master Calendar to minimize conflicts and ensure national support for each and every branch.  The Calendar will be developed in consultation and support of branches on every island. I will also promote joint fund raisers aimed to maximize cash inflows for the party and for all branches.

Civic Outreach Relationships:

An integral element of our Party’s Philosophy is being our brothers and sister’s keeper. By working hand and hand with non-profit civic organizations, I will lead us in forging relationships that will enable us to assist others in their time of need (eg. disasters such as: Hurricanes and Fires). My plan will focus on allocating a portion of funds raised for community outreach which will demonstrate our love and concern for Bahamians during difficult times. There will also be educational workshops and a lecturer series to inform persons about what to do during disasters. By having these relationships, we will be a more attractive organization for Bahamians to put their trust in when it is time to elect the next Government. 

Recruitment and Retention:

I will introduce a PLP orientation program where persons interested in joining the party can sign up and be welcomed by an Ambassador.  The orientation program will assist new members in understanding the philosophy and goals of our party, as well as understanding the important role that every member of PLP must play to ensure our continued and sustained success. I will expand on these ideas by developing video clips of PLP personal experiences and an interactive website showcasing the general ambiance of the PLP experience. This program will be started along with a PLP Ambassador program where persons can sign up to become PLP Ambassadors. 

Branch Branding & Awards:

Branch branding will encourage branches to showcase their creative talents to other branches and the country. This will become an annual floating award given to a Branch that has succeeded in active participation in Party activities, improving the quality of life for its members and growing the active membership of the branch by constituency per capita size.

I will be open to addressing any other programs and/or issues that may arise from our members, and leaders during my term - if elected.
